Spring Cleaning! Don’t forget your electronics and household appliances.
When we finally see the sunshine, and warmer days in Ohio it triggers the need for the annual Spring Clean! Don’t forget your electronics. Dust, germs and crumbs from your favorite Cheetos have been building up all winter long on your remotes, keyboards and screens. Time to wipe off greasy handprints and blow away crumbs from the months we spent indoors.
Favorite gadgets need some attention too. Have you heard the science that your phone can be ten times dirtier than your toilet? Seriously your tablets, laptops, remotes, gaming devices and keyboards can’t be much better. Think about when was the last time you vacuumed behind your fridge?
With all that dust, pet hair, food particles, and insects the ports and vents can get blocked leading to overheating and possible safety hazards. Proper and regular cleaning will extend the life of your household appliances.
Always follow the manufacturers’ advice on proper cleaning technics. Generally it would include the steps below:
-Unplug and turn off the device
-inspect the ports and vents for any debris. Be gentle if you attempt to remove it.
-Do not use harsh household cleaners. Typically, a microfiber cloth sprayed with 50/50 solution of water and alcohol will work best. Be sure not to spray device directly and never get liquid into any of the ports.
-use a circular motion to buff off any fingerprints.
-Gently use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris.
